Assam: 1 lakh 35 thousand people affected in floods

June 29, 2017:      In Assam, 1 lakh 35 thousand people are affected in the current floods. Official sources said that 188 villages at 8 districts have been affected in the current surge of water.
Apart from Flood, land erosion has also taken serious turn at many areas. Cattle stock is also affected and disrupted road communication is reported in many areas.

82 relief camps and distribution centres have been set up by the administration in five flood hit districts. District administration and civil society organizations are distributing food items to the flood affected people. Over 4 thousand people have been shifted to relief camps.        (AIR NEWS)
