June 26, 2017: The political scenario in Tripura is fast becoming complicated and BJP-RSS combination is trying to create all sorts of hurdles for ruling party in the State. A gamut of issues, including political situation of Tripura was discussed in a three-day meeting of CPIM Central Committee which ended today in New Delhi. Apart from several national issues, emerging situation of Tripura before ensuing Assembly election was also discussed in the meeting, party sources said. In a press statement after the meeting it was stated that BJP and RSS were engaged in applying all possible ploys to unnerve and puzzle the Left Government in Tripura.
Exuding confidence that people will once again vote for Leftists, Party leaders hailed the way the State Government and State CPIM unit handled IPFT sponsored road and rail blockade. Notably, CPIM alleged shadow presence of BJP behind IPFT’s blockade programme which put pressure on common people.
On the national issue, CPIM demanded banning private armies like Gau-rakshak. CPIM today expressed deep concern over emergence of private armies like Gau rakshak and violence caused by the actions of Gau rakhshak. CPIM Central Committee made a statement on the issue today. In the wake crimes allegedly committed by Gau Rakhshak, CPIM demanded stern action against such Sena and to impose strict ban. The Statement further mentioned CPIM will hold country wide demonstration from August 15 to August 31 in support of this demand.
