Agartala, August 12, 2019: In the wake of frequent power cuts in Agartala and other places, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb fired salvo at a section of Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd (TSECL) and said that erring employees will face actions.
It may be noted, several places including Agartala experienced massive disruption in power supply. With scorching temperature, load shedding and frequent power cuts irked the common people – children, elders and patients were receiving end of massive power cuts. People vented their anger at many places and tensions built up in sub stations at IGM Chowmuhani, Pragati Road and Bordowali in Agartala.
Thundering against a section of officials and staff of TSECL, the Chief Minister said, Government has started identifying the erring employees. He also said, actions would be taken against concerned staff and they would be arrested within seven day. Referring to experts’ opinion, Deb rubbished the logic put forward by a section of TSECL staff that spike in usage of Ac and other electronic gadgets has resulted in disruption of power supply.
