Agartala, January 24, 2020: Even as Feni bridge construction works are going on, Tripura CM, Biplab Kumar Deb  made a surprise visit to Feni bridge site today. The all important bridge over river Feni will connect Bangladesh with Tripura. This bridge, once completed, will open gates to plethora of job and livelihood opportunities to people of State. This bridge will pave way for transportation of goods to entire North East Region and even extending to South East Asia transforming Tripura into a hub of economic activities and gateway for North East Region.

During his sudden visit, Deb asked the contractors and workers to complete the construction works within stipulated time. Notably, Feni bridge assumes a lot of importance in State’s growth plan as the bridge over Feni river will connect Bangladesh with Tripura – in fact whole North Eastern region and even East Asia. In such a situation Tripura will become gateway for entire region.

Tripura CM extends Healthcare services

Earlier, in an obvious attempt to expand medical services in remote areas, Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated a Primary Health Center at Manughat under South Tripura today.

The move will benefit inhabitants of Manughat – both non-tribal and indigenous people immensely as they will now be able to access medical care easily. After the inauguration, he interacted with local elders. He reiterated his Government’s commitment to expand medical and other facilities to rural and remote areas for holistic development of people.

During his visit, the Chief Minister also addressed a public meeting where he elaborately highlighted Government’s initiatives for holistic development of the State.

Tripura CM opens Dental Conference

Biplab Kumar Deb also inaugurated two-day 19th annual Dental Conference organized by Indian Dental Association, Tripura Chapter at Prajna Bhawan in Agartala today. In his inaugural speech, Deb said, the job of a Chief Minister is not to just signing files but also monitoring the activities of various departments comes under the responsibility.

Charting out the priority in State Government’s growth plan, Biplab Kumar Deb said, “Tripura is now marching fast towards development. The mentality of completing works within the stipulated time is now developing among the people of the state — it is one of the parameters for state’s growth.”
He also added, “For long the people of Tripura had to listen only one word – central deprivation for everything, but after formation of the new government, the people are now experiencing growth in every sector including healthcare.”
In this context, the Chief Minister sought cooperation from the medical fraternity so that the state can reach its goal of Model Tripura on time.
