Agartala, April 30, 2019: The Agartala-Bangalore Humsafar Express Train derailed between Churaibari and Kalkalighat in North Tripura District today morning – however, no casualties were reported.
An official statement said, Accident Relief Train has reached the site from Badarpur. While Senior divisional officers have already reached the site, Safety and Engineering Officers under AGM have left for the derailment site from Malegaon HQ of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR). Cause of derailment is under investigation.
Meanwhile, the Train has been moved to Churaibari Rail Station- the last stop in Tripura near Tripura-Assam inter-state border. Official statement also mentioned, all needs of the passengers are being attended to.
