February 03, 2018: An elated BJP State president Biplab Deb hailed and congratulated the people of Tripura for overwhelming support and urged everyone to ensure peace while celebrating saffron victory. Speaking to media in Agartala, Biplab Deb expressed heart-felt gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also said, “The final results are yet to come, however, the party is happy with the results so far”.
Saying that BJP would form a stable Government in Tripura, Deb thanked the roles played by State BJP prabhari Sunil Deodhar, Assam Finance Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma, All India BJP general secretary Ram Madhav and other all India leaders and Central Ministers. He specifically congratulated Pristha Pramukhs who played ‘pivotal’ role in the poll process.
Meanwhile BJP supporters are bursting crackers and chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Joy’ in celebration of victory.
