He called for an Assam-specific model of entrepreneurship that builds on the state’s own strengths. At the same time, the model should respond to opportunities at the national and global levels.
Sarma highlighted agriculture and horticulture as sectors with significant scope for innovation and enterprise. He identified processing, logistics, traceability and value addition as important areas where entrepreneurship can create new opportunities.
