August 22, 2018: Four people lost their lives and 16 others are injured in a major fire at Crystal Tower in Mumbai. The fire broke out this morning on 12th floor of this residential tower.
The smoke from the raging fire spread rapidly and residents were trapped on the building’s staircases. Efforts were on to douse the flames and rescue the residents of the building.
Eight fire engines, four water tankers, officials of the Mumbai Police and electrical mechanics were on the spot and they were making efforts to control the blaze. Details are awaited. (AIR News)
