Agartala, June 07, 2019: Buoyed after Modi-led BJP’s landslide LS Poll victory, saffron leaders termed the win as ‘people’s victory’ and hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for holistic development of every section of the society. Saffron leaders – BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav, BJP Mahila Morcha chief Vijaya Rahatkar, Chief Minister cum BJP State president Biplab Kumar Deb today addressed a rally – thanksgiving rally – as part formal celebration of victory in LS Poll – Vijoy Samabesh. A public programme was held near Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala today.

Amid thunderous clappings and chants of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jay’, Ram Madhav exuded confidence that BJP would be in power when country will celebrate centenary of Independence in 2047. He said, BJP would better the Congress record of ruling at the Centre for 27 consecutive years (1950-77) and will celebrate centenary of Independence in 2047. While talking about 2047, he also said, it is unique that Modi-led Government will celebrate 75 years of Independence in 2022 and also, centenary in 2047.

Celebrating electoral successes, BJP activists today took out a mega Dhanyabad rally in the capital – supporters danced, clapped, and chanted Modi-Modi. It may be noted, for the first time in the history of Tripura, BJP candidates won in both the LS constituencies. Raising slogans in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah, the BJP workers burst crackers and danced to drum beats.

“It’s a historic moment for us – all the BJP activists and supporters are in jovial mood”, commented a youth. Draped in saffron and green Abir, BJP supporters started assembled at various locations and approached to Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan area to listen speeches of their leaders.

As enthusiastic saffron supporters kept on clapping, jubilant Ram Madhav continued and said, “Thrashing the so-called ‘anti-incumbency factor’, the BJP increased its own vote share by six crore in the just concluded parliamentary polls. The BJP had secured 17 crore votes in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, but in the 17th general elections, the party bagged 23 crore votes. There are 10 lakh votes from Tripura in increased vote share.”

“The Modi-II government would take the country to a new height before the world. India has already becomes a key destination in many respects for people across the world,” he said.

Addressing the supporters, Chief Minister cum BJP president Biplab Kumar Deb said, People gave a befitting reply to conspirators and voted in favour of BJP candidates in both the LS seats in Tripura – people of the State decisively supported PM Modi’s Sab ka sath, Sab Vikash vision, now the target is to perform well in upcoming Panchayat elections. “We will work for Shresta Tripura and make Tripura a model State”, he said amid clappings.

Comparing with previous LF Government, Biplab Deb said, “Time has changed drastically so much so that people need to go to Party leaders/cadres to get benefits of Central schemes. After BJP-led government came in power, people are receiving benefits directly – without intervention of any leaders”. He also cited about good governance of BJP-led Government in details.

Deb also mentioned about BJP-led Government’s initiatives for providing quality education. Taking a jibe at previous LF Government, Deb said, “Education is main pillar of a nation and accordingly, we have started NCERT syllabus in schools in a short period. This step will enhance quality of education”.
