The completion of a 50-day long Sadbhavna Yatra held by Yuva Vikash Kendra, a Gandhian Youth wing at the direction of the Golden Jubilee committee of Tripura Statehood Day celebration, the participants returned Agartala on Saturday.
The Sadbhavna Yatra started from Ujjayanta Palace Agartala on January 21 last to spread the message of Art and Culture of Tripura, Peace Harmony, Promotion of tourism of Tripura, and especially to convey the message of the Golden Jubilee celebration of Tripura Statehood day which will be observed in the coming year.
The Yatra was flagged off by Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb in presence of Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varman, Forest and Tribal Welfare minister Mebar Kumar Jamatia and other dignitaries. A total of 12 youth of the state started their journey under the leadership of youth Gandhian activist founder president of Yuva Vikash Kendra and convener of Golden Jubilee Statehood Day Celebration committee of Tripura Debashish Majumdar.
Tripura is set to celebrate the golden jubilee of Statehood Day on January 21, 2022. To make the celebration a grand success, a committee consisting of different sectors of the society was formed under the chairmanship of retired Chief Engineer Tapan Lodh. The committee decided to observe and organize various programmes including Sadbhavna Yatra 2021.
A total of 12 youth of the State led by Convener of Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee Debashish Majumder and secretary Pinku Das started country-wide tour in two scorpios on January 21 last.
During the tour, the 12-member team visited 28 States and 4 Union Territories covering 20 thousand km distance. The team members interacted with school, college and University students and highlighted socio-cultural aspects and tourism of the State through Videos.
The Yatra team also met Union Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Prahlad Singh Patel and Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thaborchand Gehlot. They also made a courtesy call to Governors of Chattisgarh, Maharastra, Haryana, Goa and Meghalaya.
After returning State, members of Agartala Press Club greeted the 12-member team.
