August 13, 2017: Tripura Welfare Research Society organized a ‘Excellent Service Award’ distribution programme on August 11 at Chawmanu under Dhalai district. Deputy Commandant of 14th Battalion BSF Barun Pratap Singh was present in the programme as Chief Guest and BDO Rakesh Chakraborty was present there as Guest of Honour. Besides, Assistant Commandant of 124th Battalion CRPF R. Yadab , Sub ZDO S. Sen and IS of Longtarai Valley Prafulla Chakma were attended the programme as guest of honour.
Project Coordinator of TWRS delivered the welcome address. Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Deputy Commandant Barun Kumar Singh said, BSF Jawans and Officers are committed to safety and security of Border area of the motherland. Besides, BSF is involved with civic action programmes like social help camp, medical camp and distribution of readymade garments to help the backward class people.
Besides A.C. R. Yadav delivered speech on the occasion. President of TWRS P. Choudhury distributed award to 14th Battalion BSF authority, BDO 124 Bn , CRPF Authority, Sub Zonal Officer of Chawmanu and IS of Chawmanu. School teacher of Chawmanu Abhijit Bhowmik presided over the programme. School students, teachers and local people were present on the occasion.
