Agartala, August 26, 2019: In quest of fulfilling his dreams, one poverty-stricken father is working hard to make his 11 year old son a champion.
Kripash Sinha – son of black belt holder and daily wage earner Bijen Sinha has already earned a name in Marshal Art. Father and son duo are battling against all the obstacles and financial odds to fully utilize potentiality and talent of Kripash in Marshal Art – bring laurels for the State. Kripash has already won 17 medals in State and National-level competition.
Bijen Sinha of Jamthum Chini Singh hamlet – around 40 km away from Kamalpur – earned his Black Belt while working as a tailor in Meghalaya. However, owing to financial stress and burden, he had to return to his native hamlet and started working as a daily wage earner. Amid stark adversity, he always dreamt to make his son
Kripash a champion in Marshal Art.
“I am looking at my son – training and preparing him. However, our biggest struggle is against the poverty. I sincerely hope that State Government would come forward and help my son to realize my unfulfilled dreams and bring medals from big stages”, Bijen Sinha said.
Meanwhile, Purnendu Chakraborty of Salema has taken initiative through social media to let people know about immense talent and potentiality of Kripash. Chakraborty is also hopeful that State Government will step forward to provide necessary help. (Courtesy: Tripura Times)
