Agartala, March 24, 2019: As part of 184th Assam Rifle Day celebration, 21 sector Assam Rifles organised ‘Run for Unity’ at Swami Vivekananda stadium, Agartala and Radhanagar today. Assam Rifles has a rich history of valour, courage and caring for the population since 1835. Assam Rifles has unique distinction of being called Friends of North East.
The event at Agartala was flagged off by Brigadier Ashwini Nayyar, Cdr 21 Sector Assam Rifles. The event received tremendous response from the local populace and a total of 950 people including youth, children and Jawans participated in 5 km run. Besides distribution of prizes to winner, Pipe band of Assam Rifles showcased their performance which was applauded by all.
Governor Kaptan Singh Solkanki also wished Assam Rifles on the momentous occasion. The force is committed to National Security and the well being of our citizens.
