Agartala (Tripura) Dec 13: Tripura unit of BJP today demanded a ‘Report card’ on works done by the LF Government and blamed the State Government for its failure in implementing PM Fasal Bima Yojna across the State.
Addressing a press conference today in Agartala, BJP State president said, “The State Govt should come out with a report card mentioning activities done by the Govt during its long tenure”.
Besides, he demanded compensation to the flood-affected farmers within seven days. He questioned, “Why didn’t the Left front government introduce centrally-sponsored scheme- Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) till date?”
Notably, Gomati District had been awarded by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementation of PMFBY and story of a Killa-based farmer was published as a success story.
However, it is irony to note that farmers of several parts of the State were badly hit due to incessant rains and subsequent flood which clearly indicates failure of the Department in implementation of the Yojna in a large scale and bring most of the farmers of the State under its coverage.
Reiterating BJP’s stand point on regularization of SSA employees, Biplab Deb Deb said, Party has already announced that SSA employees would be regularized if BJP comes to power.
He also flashed ray of hopes for terminated 10323 teachers. “The BJP, if voted to power, will surely do something for the 10,323 teachers in accordance with the Constitution”, Deb commented.
When asked whether the party will go for electoral understanding with any regional party, he replied, “The decision on alliance and other relevant matters is taken by the Central committee. However, there will be a clear picture on it after the Gujrat assembly elections.”
Sharply reacting to CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar’s allegation of BJP’s involved in destroying idols at different places to create ethic tension before Assembly election, Biplab clearly stated that BJP activists were not involved in such cases.
“The ruling party has been making such evil attempts to retain power in the forthcoming assembly polls,” he added.
