Agartala, August 13, 2019: As per the schedule 88 NLFT (SD) extremists laid down their arms before the security forces and returned to mainstream of life in presence of Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Verma and others in Ambassa of Dhalai district today.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister welcomed the surrendered members of NLFT for obeying the Constitution and abjuring the path of violence for a peaceful living.
He also said, the Government will provide all help according to Rehabilitation Policy for leading new life in the mainstream society.
The surrender move was materialised on the basis of a Memorandum of Settlement recently signed between Central Government, State Government and the banned outfit-NLFT.
