Agartala (Tripura), June 20: Tripura has received national recognition for its outstanding efforts under the Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0, a key initiative of the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP).

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha announced the achievement through his official social media handles, stating that Tripura, under the NTCP of the National Health Mission (NHM), has been selected as one of the Best Performing States in the Smaller States category.
Expressing pride over the honour, Dr. Saha pointed out dedicated efforts of the State in curbing tobacco use and engaging young people in health promotion have been acknowledged at the national level.
“My heartfelt congratulations to the health professionals, educators, and volunteers whose hard work made this possible”, Dr Saha wrote.

He further urged citizens and stakeholders to remain committed to the goal of ensuring a healthier and tobacco-free future for the younger generation.
