Agartala April 14: At the vibrant state-level Buisu festival in Kanchanpur under the North Tripura District, Cooperative Minister Shuklacharan Noatia passionately highlighted culture’s critical role in protecting young people from the grip of addiction.
Organized by the Blue Socio Organization at the Ratanmuni Ashram School ground, the event united community leaders and residents in a celebration of heritage and a shared commitment to social progress.
“Addiction threatens the future of our youth, and the state cannot fight this battle alone,” Noatia stated.
“Culture is a powerful tool to guide our youth toward a better path. It’s a collective duty—we need everyone to step forward.”
He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to preserving the diverse traditions and identities of Tripura’s ethnic communities, ensuring their cultural heritage endures.
Noatia called on culture enthusiasts to actively support these efforts, strengthening the state’s mission to foster unity and resilience through shared values.

MLA Philip Kumar Reang echoed this message, stressing the need to hold fast to traditional roots despite modern influences.
“As modernity reshapes our world, we must fiercely protect our cultural heritage,” Reang said.
“Our traditions empower us to stand against harmful influences and build a stronger, more cohesive society.”
The Buisu festival showcased Tripura’s rich janajati legacy through mesmerizing performances of traditional dances and music, captivating attendees with the state’s cultural depth.

Notable guests included MLA Pramod Reang, ADC Executive Members Bhawaranjan Reang and Dolly Reang, MDC Shailendra Nath, MDC Bhumikananda Reang, and former Minister Premkumar Reang. Shantirai Reang, president of the Blue Socio Organization, delivered a heartfelt welcome address, while Rajendra Reang, Chaudhury of Udrichhara Reang Samaj Para, presided over the event with poise.

Buisu-Garia Ter
Co-operative Minister Shukla Charan Noatia also attended State-level Buisu-Garia Ter in the Khowai District of Tripura on April 14.
The State-level Buisu-Garia Ter was organized by the Tripura Kshatriya Samaj. After taking part in the celebrations, Noatia wrote a social media post about the event.

He wrote, “Every year on this day “The Tripur Kshatriya Samaj” celebrates State Level Buisu-Garia Ter”.
