Agartala, August 15, 2019: The 73rd Independence Day has come along with multiple good things for people of Tripura – particularly relating to connectivity, job creations and health services. On the eve of I-Day, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated first ever daily direct flight in Agartala-New Delhi-Agartala route.
Celebration of I-Day reached at its peak as the Chief Minister announced further development of rail connectivity, recruitment and harnessing health care services in the State.
In a message, Biplab Kumar Deb said, “PM @narendramodi ji led Gov’t has accepted our demand to start local DEMO Train services between Agartala- Belonia- Sabroom & Dharmanagar- Agartala- Belonia- Sabroom. I thank Shri @PiyushGoyal ji & @RailMinIndia for granting our State’s long awaited demand. ”
He also said, Regional Cancer Hospital has been upgraded and modernized at an estimated Rs 160 crore. Terming the Hospital as the best in the North East, Deb announced that the upgraded Hospital would be dedicated to people on August 31 next.
Moreover, the State Government has decided to construct a Child care and Eye Specialty Hospital – fitted with modern equipments – near proposed IT Hub at Old Central Jail.
Giving a major boost to employment and job creation, the Chief Minister said, Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd will soon come up with job offers for IT passed candidates. Besides, several job opportunities will be created which will immensely benefit the unemployed youth of the State, he commented.
