In a compassionate move, Chief Minister of Tripura Dr. Manik Saha and the State Government have approved a sum of Rs 70,000 to cover the outstanding hospital bills and funeral expenses of Late Anjan Sarkar from Kailasahar in Unakoti District of the State.
Late Anjan Sarkar had tragically passed away following an accident during a personal trip to Bengaluru. The financial burdens faced by his family prompted deceased Anjan Sarkar’s father to seek assistance from the government to alleviate the substantial costs involved.
Responding promptly to the plea, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha instructed the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to coordinate with the hospital and authorities in Karnataka to provide necessary support and ensure the family didn’t bear the burden alone.
“Thanks to the Chief Minister’s intervention, an amount of Rs 70,000 has been sanctioned to settle the outstanding hospital bills and cover the expenses related to Anjan Sarkar’s funeral”, sources close to the bereaved family said.

He further added, “As soon as I learned about the situation, I immediately instructed my office to contact the family, the hospital, and the Karnataka authorities to ensure the grieving family receives all possible assistance. May Maa Tripureshwari grant them the strength they need to overcome this difficult time.”
