With the Lok Sabha elections draw closer, administrative efforts are in full swing to ensure a smooth and efficient electoral process.
As part of the process, a meeting was held on Saturday at the conference hall of the District Police Superintendent’s Office in Dharmanagar under the North Tripura District.
IGP Law and Order IPS Soumitra Dhar chaired the meeting which was held to make the 24th Lok Sabha elections a peaceful event.
The meeting was attended by senior police officers of the North District Administration Office, CRPF, TSR, and Fire Department. North District Superintendent of Police Bhanupada Chakraborty IPS and Dharmanagar Subdivisional Police Officer Debashish Saha were also present.
IGP Soumitra Dhar IPS discussed what needs to be done to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In the meeting, the senior officials of the administration were instructed to maintain a peaceful and smooth atmosphere before, during and after the elections.
After the meeting, IGP Soumitra Dhar visited various police stations in the district and instructed to fill up the gaps wherever there were special shortages.

Ensuring the security of polling booths and voters
Dealing with any potential law and order problems
