In the tourism sector, the Agartala Adventure Club is engaged for a long time in promoting well known as well as lesser known tourist spots of the State.

In an attempt to generate curiosity among the people to explore Tripura, around 60 members of the Agartala Adventure Club recently travelled to Dharma Chakra Buddha Vihar at Debdaru in Jolaibari under South Tripura.

The club members visited different places under Jolaibari to spread the message – ‘Tripura te Dekhar Onek Kichu Aache’ (There are many places to explore in Tripura) – among the masses.

After reaching Dharma Chakra Buddha Vihar, the club members enjoyed the tranquillity under a beautiful big-sized Buddha statute – the Buddhists present there offered a hearty welcome to the Agartala Adventure Club members.

Later, the Club members went to a vast lake located at Narad Para. Under the scorching, club members had a good time at the Narad Para lake. They also tasted special food of the local Chakma people. They also visited Buddha Vihar at Aailmara.

During their tour, club members collected information regarding the sites and local people. They got the opportunity to know and understand the traditional cultural and religious practices of people of local Chakma community.

Speaking to the media, the Agartala Adventure Club members, Shubhajit Chowdhury, Sampita Datta and Aaradhita Debbarma said, “It was a fun-filled and informative tour. There are so many tourist spots in our State with exquisite natural beauty and religious significance. Nature lover as well as religious people – both will like the places like Buddha Vihars at Debdaru and Aailmara.

According to the Club members, they went to iconic tourist spot – Chabimura around a couple of months ago.

“We spent a night Radur Khamar under the foothills of Chabimura – it was an exhilarating experience for all of us”, Shubhajit said. Later, they also launched a ‘Safai Abhiyan’ at Chabimura to spread the message of cleanliness.
