In an attempt to accommodate the increased demand and provide added convenience to passengers, the authorities have taken the decision to extend the services of two special train routes.
These two trains are: train no. 07030/07029 (Secunderabad – Agartala – Secunderabad) and train no. 07046/07047 (Secunderabad – Dibrugarh – Secunderabad). The extension will be in effect until September 2023, maintaining the current schedule, timings, stoppages, and composition.
As part of this extension, the service of train no. 07030 (Secunderabad – Agartala) special will run from 07th August to 25th September 2023, departing from Secunderabad every Monday. Similarly, train no. 07029 (Agartala – Secunderabad) special will be operational from 11th August to 29th September 2023, departing from Agartala on every Friday.
Furthermore, the service of train no. 07046 (Secunderabad – Dibrugarh) special will run from 07th August to 25th September 2023, departing from Secunderabad every Monday. On the return route, train no. 07047 (Dibrugarh – Secunderabad) special will operate from 10th August to 28th September 2023, departing from Dibrugarh on every Thursday.
The extension of these special train services is expected to alleviate the rush and provide an alternative for waitlisted passengers on other trains along this route. Commuters are advised to refer to the IRCTC website or official announcements in newspapers and social media channels of N.F. Railway for detailed information about the stoppages and timings of these trains before planning their journeys.
Meantime, the services of DHR (Darjeeling Himalayan Railway) Joy Ride train no. 52539 (New Jalpaiguri – Darjeeling) from 2nd August to 30th September 2023 and train no. 52538 (Darjeeling – New Jalpaiguri) from 1st August to 1st October 2023 will remain cancelled due to poor patronization.
