The 73rd B.N. Mallick Memorial All India Police Football Tournament, hosted by Tripura Police is delivering thrilling encounters on the field. On the 4th Day of the tournament, Tripura Women’s team suffered second crushing defeat in their group match against Assam Rifles.
The Tripura men’s team is maintaining their winning streak in the two matches that the team played, so far, However, the State Women’s team, after conceding six goals in the opening match, tasted heavy defeat on Thursday at the Umakanta Stadium as the State team suffered a 10-0 defeat in an one-sided game against Assam rifles Women’s team. The Tripura women’s team conceded a total of 16 goals in two matches but failed to score any goal, so far.
In other matches at Umakanta Stadium in Agartala, in the women’s category, Manipur defeated Tamil Nadu 6-1, and Odisha beat CRPF 5-1 margins. In the men’s category, Meghalaya defeated Telangan by 5-0.
The men’s competition continued with a series of hard-fought matches. At Jirania, three men’s category matches were held today. Kerala men’s team secured a 3-0 victory over SSB, while Madhya Pradesh edged past Gujarat 1-0. Sikkim defeated RPF men’s team by 2-0 margin.
At Tulabagan stadium in Mohanpur, Assam Rifles claimed a 3-1 win against Manipur, while Maharashtra narrowly beat Odisha 1-0. In another match, West Bengal defeated Uttarakhand 2-0 margin.
A high-scoring match at Jampuijala saw Assam thrash Lakshadweep 10-0, while CISF outclassed Delhi 4-1.
At Chandrapur Stadium in Udaipur, two men’s category matches were held today. Mizoram defeated Tamil Nadu 3-0, and Uttar Pradesh overcame Arunachal Pradesh 2-1.
