The Agartala Municipal Council (AMC) is committed to providing corruption-free administration as well as ensuring cleanliness in the city. Besides, beautification of Agartala is another priority, said AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder during his visit at ward Nos 14 and 15 in Agartala on Saturday.
The Mayor also said people voted out the Leftists in the Assembly Polls. People also observed that Biplab Deb-led Government provided corruption-free governance – not a single MLA or Minister was accused of corruption. So people voted BJP in AMC Polls and we will show respect to people’s trust.
He interacted with the residents to know about the ward-level issues and problems. He was accompanied by Commissioner of AMC Shailesh Kumar Yadav, Councillor of Ward 14 and other officials.
The Mayor said that he would visit all the wards under the AMC to get a first-hand report on the prevailing conditions and problems of the residents as well as solve their problems.
Dipak Majumder talked to the residents of Wards 14 and 15 and inquired about the problems. He made it clear that BJP-led AMC would fulfil the promises made in the run-up to the AMC polls.
“Our target is to provide a corruption-free administration as well as works aiming to create clean and beautiful Agartala”, he told the media.
Speaking to the media on the eviction drive of the AMC, Majumder said, “AMC has conducted drives against the encroachers, not the hawkers. The AMC demolished the illegal structures built on government land and blocking the roads”.
He further pointed out the incumbent Biplab Deb-led Government is working for the betterment of poor people to ensure a decent living for all as well as provide a transparent and corruption-free administration.
