A delegation of officials representing various central government ministries embarked on a week-long visit to Dhalai district of Tripura.

During their exposure visit to this aspirational district, the officials engaged in discussions with the district administration, under the leadership of District Magistrate Siddharth Jaiswal.

The focal point of their deliberations revolved around several centrally sponsored schemes, with a particular focus on the Prime Minister Awas Yojana and the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA). Moreover, the team explored welfare initiatives designed to benefit tea plantation workers.

The six-member official contingent recently conducted an extensive tour of numerous village panchayats situated in the Salema RD block area, which falls within the Kamalpur subdivision of Dhalai district.

Their itinerary included a visit to the Salema block office, where they meticulously assessed the implementation status of various projects funded by both central and state governments. Furthermore, the delegation inspected the execution of 20 projects encompassing MGNREGA, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM).

During these visits, they engaged in dialogues with beneficiaries hailing from Singinala, Avanga, Maharani, and Baralutma Gram Panchayat areas within the Salema block. The delegation also paid visits to sub-health centers situated within these four village panchayat regions. Their journey was facilitated by Additional BDO Biplab Acharji of Salema Block and Kamalpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate L. Darlong.

The visiting team comprises Shailesh Kumar Sharma, Deepak Kumar Sinha, Shiv Kumar Mishra, Kumar Sundaram, Shakti Singh, and Prashant Rana.

Their itinerary also includes visits to various project sites and localities in order to witness firsthand the successful implementation of government schemes in the district.

Besides, the officials are keen on gathering feedback from beneficiaries regarding their experiences and the benefits derived from these initiatives. The district official overseeing the delegation’s visit confirmed that the team arrived in Dhalai district on Tuesday. (Edited)
