In a stride towards embracing the spirit of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Rupaichari RD Block in Sabroom has unveiled plans for the establishment of an enlightening destination – the Amrit Knowledge Park (Amrit Gyan Udyan).
The park’s inception stems from a convergence of pivotal governmental schemes and initiatives including MGNREGA, BEUP, Mission Amrit Sarovar, TRLM, and an emphasis on clean energy adoption.
According to the Block Development Officer of Rupaichari, Abhijit Majumder, the ambitious project is poised to take form over the course of the next year. Upon fruition, the Amrit Knowledge Park is poised to create new avenues of income while alluring visitors from near and far.
Majumder elaborated that the project is currently in progress with an allocation of Rs. 31 lakh already invested. Substantial work is anticipated to kick off shortly after the conclusion of the monsoon season.
The forthcoming Knowledge Park is set to shine a spotlight on the significant contributions of Indians to the domains of Science and Technology. A dedicated section will be set up to encapsulate the evolution of our space programs, tracing the journey from SLV to GSLV Mk-III. This endeavor aspires to enhance awareness while fostering motivation among the youth to engage with institutions like ISRO, DRDO, BARC, and others.
The architectural composition of the park will integrate cutting-edge elements, utilizing Interlocking Paver Block Technology. Ensuring the holistic well-being of visitors, an open gymnasium will be incorporated, alongside designated stalls where Self-Help Group (SHG) members can sell an assortment of refreshments and tea offerings.
Notably, the park’s operations will be sustained entirely through Renewable Energy sources, facilitated by the installation of Solar Street Lights and a Solar PV Power Plant. A green cover will be cultivated through plantation activities executed under the aegis of MGNREGA, augmenting the park’s status as an ecological haven.
Notable features of the park include a QR code system, orchestrated in collaboration with the Forest Department, enabling visitors to access comprehensive information about standing trees. Further enriching the recreational potential, a playground will be erected under MGNREGA’s auspices, catering to children’s recreational and sporting needs.
As the Rupaichari RD Block embarks on this transformative initiative, the Amrit Knowledge Park stands as a testament to India’s prowess in science and technology, aligning with the nationwide celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
