A sudden bee attack at Kamalpur Government College in Dhalai District of Tripura left approximately 30 injuried. The students of the College are primarily the victims. The incident occurred on Wednesday.

The students said, swarm of bees descended on College campus when the students were arriving at the college today. As the bees started attacking, chaos ensued. Students and some of local people present there started running away for a cover from the bee attack. 

Firefighters were swiftly alerted, and they promptly intervened to rescue the injured individuals, including the students. The injured persons were taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.

According to a college authority, “The incident occurred on Wednesday morning during the arrival of students. As the bees unleashed their attack, locals who had gathered also fell victim. Immediate communication was made with the nearby fire station, and the firefighters acted swiftly and shifted the injured to the hospital.”

Sources said, around 30 persons mostly the college students and a few local people fell victim to the bee attack and underwent treatment at the hospital. 

As per the last available report, no critical injuries have been reported.

Authorities started to investigate the cause of the bee attack and ensured that necessary measures to prevent any further occurrences in the vicinity would be taken. 

Meantime, the college administration urged students and residents near the college to remain cautious while efforts are made to prevent occurance of such incident any further.
