Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is working to bring all the sections of society to mainstream. The party believes in development of all under the Constitutional framework as BJP’s vision is ‘Sab ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas, Sab ka Viswas and Sab ka Prayas’, said All India BJP president JP Nadda in Agartala on Monday (August 29).
He also added, BJP will storm back into power in Tripura in a full-fledged manner with 2/3rd majority and function in style.
He also pointed out developmental initiatives of BJP-government in Tripura to ensue overall improvement of the tribal communities. In this connection Nadda mentioned successful and peaceful resettlement of the over 37,000 Bru people in Tripura who had to flee from their home land in Mizoram around 23 years ago.
From refugee, they have now become citizens of Tripura. As part of the resettlement, the Government has also taken initiatives for their socio-economic development of these tribal people, Nadda commented.
Nadda, who arrived in Agartala on a two-day State visit on Sunday (August 28) held a press meet today after conducting series of meetings with the Ministers, MLAs, MPs, representatives of ally IPFT, party functionaries and others on Sunday.
“We believe in development of all. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working tirelessly for the holistic development and welfare of the tribal communities. The country now has a woman tribal representative at the highest post of the nation”, Nadda said referring to development of tribal communities across the country.
He added, Govt of India with the Rs 1300 crore Tribal development funding with assistance from the World Bank. The funding aims at investment in connectivity and ensuring improvement in livelihood opportunities.
Besides, Nadda detailed on other initiatives of the ruling BJP Government in the health sector, infra sector development and connectivity. He informed the media that Farmers’ income had doubled from Rs 6500 per month to Rs 11,000 per month.
As far as women empowerment is concerned, apart from 33 per cent women reservation in Government jobs, the number of SHGs increased seven folds, per capita income increased by 30 per cent in Tripura, Budget of the State increased from Rs 12,600 crore to Rs 27,000 crore – all of these are indicate the economic progress of the State.
