The BJP-led Government in Tripura provided more government jobs till now after assuming power in 2018 compared to 2013-2017 of the previous Left Front government, said Information and Cultural Affairs Minister of Tripura, Sushanta Chowdhury.
Referring to data of the Finance Department, Chowdhury said, “The Left Front Government gave jobs to total 13 thousand 657 persons as Regular employees during 2013-17”.
In contrast, he said, since 2018 onwards, the Finance Department gave concurrence for recruitment in 41 thousand 949 posts – out of this, total 17 thousand 687 posts are under Regular category.
Already eight thousand 813 vacant posts under the Regular category were filled up while total 24 thousand 33 posts under various categories were filled up, so far.
Chowdhury said with the 2023 Assembly Polls ensuing, the opposition parties are trying to mislead the people on recruitment in Government job.
While addressing a Press conference in Agartala on Thursday (Dec 29), the Minister urged people not to be misled and said, “The incumbent BJP- led Government has already recruited in different posts a total of 24 thousand 33 persons including Regular, Die-in harness, Contractual and Out Sourcing categories”.
Recruitment process for the remaining over 17 thousand posts are underway, he commented.
Among the remaining vacancies, there are about 5000 vacancies for the JRBT candidates, 6000 vacancies for the Special Executive posts, about 3000 posts for TET pass candidates and One thousand for the police constable. Process to fill up these vacant posts is in progress, the Minister asserted.
