Government of Tripura is proactively working to bring all the targeted beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Jana Aarogya Yojana (CM-JAY) within March 31, 2024.
Speaking to the enewstime.in Editor on Monday, State’s Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said, “the target is to bring 4 lakh 15 thousand families who were not covered under the PM-JAY, under the coverage of the CM-JAY within March 31, 2024”.
He said, ” We are proactively working across the State on the project of bringing uncovered families under the ambit of the CM-JAY and to achieve 100 percent enrollment in the 2023-24 FY”.
Notably , Chief Minister of Tripura Dr Manik Saha launched the ‘health for all’ scheme CM-JAY on February 15 last.
“Soon after the launch, steps were taken to enroll the members of uncovered 4 lakh 15 thousand families. So far around One Lakh 78 thousand families were enrolled till March 3 under the project”, Singha Roy said.
He also pointed out the Government has taken intensive steps to enroll people. In Agartala, ward based enrollment initiatives have been taken. Similar steps have been initiated in other parts of the State including reaching the rural people and the inhabitants of the remote areas.
The CM-JAY ensure cashless treatment facilities upto Rs 5 lakh per annum to 4 lakh 15 thousand families who were left out of the PM-JAY coverage. The implementation of the CM-JAY was proposed in 2023-24 State Budget and accordingly implemented the Yojana on February 15 last.
