All the scheduled semester examinations of Colleges and pre-Board examinations of Class- X and XII have been postponed. However, on-going 2nd and 3rd Professional (Part-I & Part- II) practical examinations MBBS course in Medical Colleges (AGMC & TMC) will continue as per schedule

 

In view of the threat of COVID19 2.0, the Education department has taken some important decisions on Sunday for the safety of the students.

All the scheduled semester examinations of Colleges (Undergraduate and Post-Graduate) as well as the pre-Board examinations of Class- X and XII have been postponed, said Education minister Ratanlal Nath.

Meanwhile, there was a strong demand among the students as well as their guardians for postponing the schedule examinations of Colleges and also pre-Board examinations of Class- X and XII.

Addressing a press conference, he said the practical examination on Music subject of Class- XII scheduled on April 26 and May 7 next has also been deferred.

A notification from the Higher Education department said, “In view of rapid increase in number of Covid-19 cases in the state and considering the safety and security of the students from the surge of the pandemic, the Higher Education department of the state has decided to postpone all the semester examinations of Undergraduate and Post-Graduate examinations of all affiliating and private universities operating in the state with effect from 26th April, 2121 until further order.”

Another notification from Tripura University said, “In line with the decision of the Government of Tripura, Department of Higher Education for rapid rise in number of COVID19 cases across the state, all scheduled examinations (UG & PG in affiliated Colleges and Universities) of Tripura University is hereby postponed with effect from 26th April, 2021 until further order.”
