With looming Corona scare, Agartala Club Forum steps forward to help the administration on multiple front including vacvination drive.

Corona-scare-Agartala-TripuraThe Agartala Club Forum held meeting at the Agartala Press Club today with the concerned senior administrative officials to address the Corona situation. In this meeting, Health Secretary J. K. Sinha advised the members of the club to work with a positive attitude in the battle against Corona. He stressed using masks by all. He also appealed to the clubs to play a supportive role in implementing Covid vaccination for every person above 45 years of age as well as vaccination of persons above 18 years of age from May 1 next. 
West Tripura District Magistrate Dr Shailesh Yadav called upon the club Forum to be proactive in preparing volunteer lists in every club. The District Magistrate also emphasized on campaigning at personal level to follow Covid appropriate behavior. 
Pranab Sarkar and Sebak Bhattacharjee, joint conveners of the Agartala Press Club Forum, put forward a set of proposals for successful vaccination programme, including conducting area-based camps. 
Club Forum president Alik Majumder elaborated on the role of the Club Forum in tackling corona during last year. Chairman of the Advisory Council Sanjay Pal presided over the meeting. In his speech, Pal warned if the Covid protocols are not followed properly, State may face grim situation. Among others Subhash Ghosh, Subrata Dutt, Piyush Kanti Dey, Pradyut Dhar Chowdhury, Chitta Ranjan Saha spoke on behalf of the club officials present at the meeting. Members of most of the Agartala based clubs were present at today’s joint meeting.
