Dal Badol : Over 300 voters join Trinamool Congress in North Tripura

Even as BJP is conducting whirlwind outreach programme in big way through its twin Jana Vishwas Rath Yatra, othe political parties are not sitting idle and conducting rallies and public meetings in their own way.

 

Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress which received serious drubbing in the by-polls in June 2022, is also trying their best to recover ground and become a force to reckon with.

 

Led by party RS MP from West Bengal Sushmita Dev and party’s State in-charge Rajib Banerjee, Tripura Congress is conducting political programmes.

 

On Wednesday (Jan 11), Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress held rallies and meetings in Pecharthal and and Jubarajnagar Assembly Constituencies under North Tripura.

 

According to party sources over 300 voters of more than 106 families joined the Party today.

 

Buoyed at joining of voters into the party, Sushmita Dev said Trinamool Congress is gaining confidence of the people in the State. Dev said people are distraught with the misrule of the BJP and are supporting the Trinamool Congress to re-establish rule of the law in the State.

 

She exuded confidence that people of the State would give Trinamool Congress a chance to serve the people. 

 

Rajib Banerjee also sounded positive and said people are coming forward to support the Trinamool congress braving threats and intimidation.

 

The Trinamool Congress leaders pinned hope on bolstering the organization further and win the Jubarajnagar Assembly this time owing to renewed public support.

 

Notably, Trinamool’s performance in Jubarajnagar in the previous by-poll was abysmal.   

 

Meantime, Trinamool congress also inaugurated a party Office at Pecharthal today and a procession of the party workers roamed around the Pecharthal market.

 

In another programme at Chandipur under Unakoti district, 86 voters of 21 families joined the party in presence of the local leaders.

 

Trinamool Congress is depending on local leaders and supporters under the leadership of its president Pijush Kanti Biswas while Sushmita dev and Rajib Banerjee are the only two leaders of the other States accompanying the party supporters and local leaders at all times. On earlier occasions, Trinamool Congress depended on leaders and actors of Kolkata who campaigned in Tripura but failed to evoke public response.
