Sadar Sub-Divisional District Magistrate Asim Saha administered the oath of office to the five nominated members of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Monday.
The five nominated members are Aditi Bhattacharya, Tapan Lodh, Nishikant Sinha, Pranjit Banik and Dr. Manoj Debray.
These five nominated members took oath in a simple programme held at the conference hall of Municipal Corporation today.
Mayor Deepak Majumder, Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta and others were present in the swearing-in ceremony.
In addition to the 51 elected councilors, 5 more nominated councilors have been added after today’s programme.
Mayor Dipak Majumder said works of the AMC will be done keeping in mind the well thought out views and visions for all in order to create a beautiful, clean and new Agartala.
With five more councilors joined, he said it will be convenient for the corporation to work in the coming days.
