Tripura has witnessed a significant positive trajectory since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – led government came to power in 2018. With improved infra facilities, Tripura is emerging as an export hub. Moreover, using the Modi-led government’s Act East Policy, Tripura is now experiencing ‘Maha Development’.

The statement came from National Secretary of BJP Rituraj Kishore Singha in Agartala today on June 6.

Singha, during his visit to Tripura, took stock of the preparations for the BJP’s outreach programme, which commemorates Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nine years in office.

BJP-National-General-Secretary-Tripura-RiturajHe highlighted the noticeable progress made under the Modi-led governance. Singha pointed out three pivotal pillars – service to society, good governance, and the welfare of the poor – ensured the positive transformation of the country.

He contrasted the achievement with the Congress party’s tenure, pointing out that Congress had engaged in discussions without delivering tangible results during its 25-year rule.

Singha extensively listed the remarkable achievements of the Modi government, including allotting houses under the Housing Scheme to three crore impoverished individuals, distributing free ration to 80 crore people living below the poverty line, granting gas cylinders to 9.6 crore women, and ensuring electricity to every village.

Under Modi’s leadership, India has also recorded the world’s fifth-largest GDP. The achievements were accompanied by a firm commitment to good governance and eradicating corruption by the Modi-led government.

Regarding the Act East policy, Singha lauded the collaborative efforts between the central government and Tripura, referring to it as “Modi+Manik (M+M) = Maha development in Tripura.”

He said, “This partnership has played a significant role in propelling the state’s progress. Notably, Tripura has witnessed substantial advancements in road infrastructure, railway connectivity, and overall development in just five years, thanks to the effective governance under the BJP”.

State BJP President Rajib Bhattacharjee, addressing the media, announced details of the outreach campaign to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nine years in power.

“This campaign brings together BJP members from various levels, including booth workers, Union ministers, and national office-bearers. It aims to showcase the exemplary governance and welfare initiatives undertaken by the Modi-led government”, Bhattacharjee commented.
