Curtains were drawn on state wide ‘Prati Ghare Sushason’ campaign – a public outreach programme of Tripura Government on the day of birth anniversary of Former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajyapee, also observed as Good Governance Day’ in Agartala on December 25.
The observance of Good Governance and conclusion event of ‘Prati Ghare Sushason’ campaign that started on September 17 last was held with a with a special emphasis on ‘Good Governance through e-Governance’. According to the information released by the government, total 23 lakh people were benefitted during the campaign.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in presence of Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, ICA Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Speaker of the State Assembly Ratan Chakraborty, Chief Secetary GK Sinha , Agartala Municipality Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
In the programme, dignitaries paid floral tributes to Former Prime Minister late AB Vajpayee.
Dr Manik Saha said, “Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a bright symbol of good governance. He was a multi-faceted personality and worked for the welfare of people thorough out his life”.
On the Prati Ghore Sushason campaign, Dr Saha reiterated to ensure service delivery to the last person of society and for this, he emphasized on good governance through e-governance. Earlier, Tripura Government launched ‘Amar Sarkar’ portal for availing various services and lodging grievances – on the concluding day of Prati Ghore Sushason campaign, a mobile app of the portal was launched by the Chief Minister in presence of the others.
A report card on the Sushanson campaign and a leaflet detailing about ‘Amar Sarkar’ portal were also released on the occasion.
Several departments, blocks, local bodies and individuals were also awarded under various categories.
Dhalai district bagged the first position while South Tripura and Gomati district jointly secured the second position in ensuring service delivery to common people.
Social Welfare and Social Education, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Urban Development departments bagged jointly the best in department awards while the second best awards were given to PWD and Forest departments.
The best ULB awards were given to Agartala Municipal Corporation and Khowai municipal council while the second best ULB awards were given to Ambassa, Kumarghat, Dharmanagar and Ranir Bazar municipal councils.
Ampi, Poangbari, Kakraban, Amarpur, Bamutia and Manu blocks were adjudged as the best blocks while the second best awards were given to Charilam, Mohanpur, Dasda, Gournagar and Tulashikar blocks.
The best performers of Slogan competition on Sushanson were also awarded in the programme– Anwesha Dey received the first prize, second and third prize went to Gopinandan Dey and Prasanta Sen respectively while Sudhir Chandra Sen won the fourth and Siddharth Haldar the fifth awards.
A two-day exhibition highlighting the achievements of the Prati Ghore Sushason campaign was opened by the dignitaries by releasing colourful balloons in the sky.
To take the benefits of the e-governance to rural areas, in particular remote areas, 27 CSC Mobile Vans were flagged of by Jishnu Dev Varma in presence of Sushanta Chowdhury and others. Villagers will be able to get information on government schemes and various necessary documents etc from these mobile CSC vans.
