The Tripura Government has launched a slew of innovative grievance redressal facilities. ‘Village walk’ and observance of ‘Amar Sarkar Diwas’ in Panchayats are the two new weekly initiatives of the government to ensure ‘Good Governance through e-Governance’ in a time bound manner.
Under the ‘Village walk’ initiative, elected members of Panchayat along with government employees will visit different wards to register villagers’ grievances. Besides, ‘Amar Sarkar Diwas’ will be observed in Panchayats on every Monday so that people can lodge their complaints. In both the case, technology will play a big role and people will be able to file complaints free of cost.
After a complaint is registered, if the issue is not solved within four days, the issue will be automatically transferred to the higher authorities and the issue will be brought to the notice of Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and concerned secretaries.
Notably, the Government already launched the ‘Amar Sarkar’ web portal on November 17, 2022 through which people started filing complaints.
According to a leaflet issued by the Panchayat department under the Tripura Government during the observance of Good Governance and valedictory programme of the ‘Prati Ghore Sushason campaign’ in Agartala on December 25, total 12239 complaints were lodged. Out of this, total 9197 complaints – which accounts for 75.14 percent – were solved.
Number of pending cases is 3042 as the information released on December 25. Among the eight districts in the State, Sepahijala district is leading the table with North and West Tripura districts are closely following.
