Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited the Sepahijala district on Tuesday and met with district officials to discuss the district’s development projects.
The meeting was held at the district collector’s office conference hall. District Collector Nagesh Kumar, District Police Superintendent Jagadish Reddy, and officials from various departments attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the district collector briefed the governor on the district’s various development projects through a PowerPoint presentation.
Governor Reddy Nallu advised the officials of the horticulture department to use scientific methods and adopt tissue culture methods to promote pineapple cultivation. He also advised them to increase the area under cultivation of cash crops to increase farmers’ income.
The Governor also told the officials to increase the use of machinery to improve and increase the production of handicrafts.
He discussed the issue of increasing access to drinking water and irrigation facilities during the meeting. He said that drinking water connections should be provided to every household within a specified time frame.
The Governor also said that awareness should be raised to prevent child marriage. For this, extensive publicity is needed.
During the meeting, Governor Reddy Nallu said the central and state governments have taken various steps for the development of the state. Various projects are being implemented for the development of the people. He told the officials that the people should be informed about these projects more and more.
The Governor arrived at the district collector’s office in Bisramganj on Tuesday morning and was given a guard of honor. After the meeting with the district collector and other officials, the Governor visited the Mia para of Kamalasagar and spoke to the locals.
