The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign aims to foster patriotism among the people. As part of the campaign a plan has been taken to unfurl the National flag in 4 lakh houses in Tripura, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha.
Dr Saha was briefing Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a video conference on the preparations in Tripura for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
For this purpose, the 4 lakhs National Flags would be prepared by various Self Help Groups, Handloom and Handicrafts department, SC Welfare department, Panchayat and private producers.
He said, the four lakhs National Flags would be distributed among the people through Ration Shops, Post Offices and Panchayats.
Dr. Saha also apprised the Union Home Minister that Gram Sabhas would be organized by the state government to raise awareness among the people about the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
Besides, other initiatives like postering in road side, publication of promotional videos in Bengali and Kokborok languages, and spreading awareness messages by eminent personalities on social media would be initiated to make the campaign successful, the Chief Minister said.
Notably, country awareness campaign will be started from July 22 next.
He also stated that a detailed notification regarding hoisting of National Flags on 13-15 August would be issued by the Tripura government.
Along with the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Secretary of Information and Cultural Affairs department Abhishek Chandra and Secretary of He department Sharadindu Chowdhury also took part in the video conference.
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign announced by the central government as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration to inspire the young generation for patriotism on the occasion of 75th year of the country’s Independence.
Amit Shah said more than one hundred crore people will be connected across the country who will unfurl the Tricolour at their homes from August 13-15 next.
