In a remarkable achievement, the Maach Mara Primary Health Centre has secured the top position in the healthcare sector within the Unakoti District in Tripura for the fourth consecutive time.
The announcement was made during the prestigious Kaya Kalp Awards ceremony held by the State Health Department on February 27, 2023-24.
The award recipients’ list, signed by the State Health Mission Director, revealed that Maach Mara Primary Health Centre achieved an impressive score of 85.00 percent, solidifying its leadership in healthcare excellence.
Dr. Prasenjit Chakma, the in-charge doctor at the health center, attributed this success to the unwavering commitment of both the local community and the hospital staff.
Mutual collaboration of local people and the medical personnel of the PHC is the backbone of the achievement, Dr Chakma opined.
“Our achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of everyone involved,” he said and emphasized. “Success requires not only clinical expertise but also a wholehearted approach to serving our patients.”
He also expressed gratitude to Dr. S.S. Debnath, the Quality Assurance Officer of the District Health and Family Welfare Department, whose contributions played a pivotal role in this remarkable feat.
Notably, Maach Mara Primary Health Centre received the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) award last year, further cementing its reputation as a beacon of quality healthcare in the region.
