In line with the Tripura Government’s emphasis on IT-enabled services and creation of Data bank,  a Beneficiary Management System (BMS) has been made as well as steps have been made to include five more Start-ups for the development of the IT sector in the State.

 

To bring all the beneficiaries of different Centrally Sponsored Schemes under one roof, Beneficiary Management System (BMS) has been prepared. The BMS – https://bms.tripura.gov.in/ – has been constructed with three prime modules – Legacy Application, BMS DBT and Dashboard.

 

A total of 17 lakh 32 thousand 133 transactions from 23 departments have been uploaded till November 15 of current financial year, a press release issued by the Director of the IT department mentioned. Besides, information pertaining to a total of 9 lakh 9 thousand 867 transactions of 5 lakh 50 thousand 976 beneficiaries have been uploaded in Legacy Data Dashboard.

 

The Information Technology sector in the state is gradually developing as a result of which employment opportunities are being created in the state. The work to include more five Start-ups for IT development in the state has started. The state government started Tripura IT/ITES Start-up scheme to encourage youths towards establishing business in IT/ITES sector on 30 October, 2019.

 

A webinar was organised with the initiative of NASSCOM and local initiator with the students from NIT, TIT, ICFAI colleges. Qualification certificates were given away for providing different management and infrastructural Facilities to four initiatives namely eLogitron, Flaffy, Entertain, Talking Online Learning Solution Pvt Ltd.

 

Work is going on to provide facilities to five more Start-ups. The state government will provide Grant-in-aid for the implementation of the scheme and infrastructural development.

 

For ‘New Age Incubation Network’ scheme implementation, MoU was signed between IT department, Government of Tripura and NIT-Agartala, TIT, Techno College of Engineering and ICFAI college.
