Chief Minister of Tripura Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, attended Jana Ashirwad Yatra in Dhalai district, during which he welcomed new members from other parties into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and paid a visit to the Longtorai Valley Sub-Divisional Hospital. He also attended an array of programmes in the district today.
Boost in BJP’s Support Base :
Chief Minister Dr. Saha, while addressing a gathering at the ‘Jana Ashirwad Yatra’ held at Chawmanu School ground in Dhalai district, expressed his belief that the BJP is now the driving force for development in the state of Tripura. He noted that voters from various opposition parties are increasingly gravitating towards the BJP, inspired by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ mantra.
During this event, a remarkable 269 voters from different opposition parties officially joined the BJP, symbolizing a growing trend. Dr. Saha extended a warm welcome to these new members, emphasizing that their decision to join the party during this transformative period is a testament to the party’s increasing popularity.
Dr. Saha also shared his experiences during the recent by-elections in two seats, highlighting the unprecedented steps he took, such as conducting padyatras and visiting poll-bound assemblies daily. As a result of these efforts, the BJP secured victory in both seats, which were historically considered strongholds of the CPIM.
He praised Prime Minister Modi for redefining politics and stated that the BJP in Tripura is following the same path of progress.
A Journey From Violence to Peace :
The Chief Minister also addressed the violence that marred previous elections, with some BJP workers losing their lives and their properties being damaged. He noted that Tripura was once plagued by election-related violence and that divisive politics were the hallmark of the CPIM’s rule over the state for 35 years.
He added that the Congress followed a similar pattern during its five-year rule. However, he emphasized that since the BJP came to power in 2018, elections in the state have been peaceful, and the government has prioritized establishing an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
Furthermore, Dr. Saha underscored the government’s commitment to the welfare of all sections of society and the eradication of divisive politics that were a feature of the past.
Focus on Healthcare Enhancement :
In a proactive move to bolster healthcare services, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha also visited the Longtharai Valley Sub-Divisional Hospital in Dhalai district. During the visit, he engaged in constructive discussions with the dedicated medical personnel on duty, gaining valuable insights into the state of healthcare services in the region.
The Chief Minister expressed an unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare services in Dhalai district. He affirmed that all necessary steps will be taken to address existing concerns and elevate the standard of care. His visit aimed to not only assess the state of healthcare infrastructure but also to appreciate the hard work of the healthcare professionals serving the community.
