Chaired by Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, the State cabinet on Tuesday gave its nod to creation of posts under different Departments and filling up vacant post under the Social Welfare and Social Education Department.
Briefing media in Agartala on the cabinet decisions, Education minister Ratanlal Nath said the cabinet approved filling up of 21 posts of Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) under the Social Welfare and Social Education Department.
He said, the council of ministers also cleared creation of total 65 posts — 42 under the Cooperative department, 20 (Sports Officers) under the Youth Affairs and Sports department and the remaining three under the Science Technology and Environment department (One Joint Director, one Deputy Project Officer and one UDC).
The 42 posts under the Cooperative department included 12 LDCs, 18 Investigators and 12 Group-D, Nath told the reporters.
Giving more details, Nath said recruitment in 13,984 posts under various departments has been completed since the formation of the BJP-IPFT government.
He said, the figure included 3251 Teachers, 1443 TSR personnel, 1400 SPOs, 38 Assistant Professors, 444 Junior Medical Officers, 11 Judicial officers, 97 PA (Gr-II), 80 TCS/TPS officers, 96 LDCs, 65 Sub-Inspectors, 6 TFS (Gr-II) officers, 57 Lecturers (diploma level), 33 Basic Teachers, 62 Agriculture Officers (Gr-I), 8 Food Safety Officers, 1070 in die-in-harness scheme and 5823 outsourcing jobs.
According to Nath, jobs for more 8110 posts are in the pipeline — 600 TET Teachers, 200 Special Educators, 300 PGTs, 230 GTs (IX, X), 110 PGTs, 1000 police constables, 760 miscellaneous posts (TPSC) and 4910 jobs through JRBT.
Nath also said the new government created 11,000 posts and the Finance department gave approval for filling up of 13,632 posts (including the vacant posts).
