Tripura unit Yuva Morcha held rallies across the State with ‘#Lakhshya 2023 BJP again’ slogan on Monday as part of its electioneering process keeping an eye on forthcoming by-polls and Assembly elections.

The youth wing of the party, Yuva Morcha hit streets across the State confidently asserting that BJP would return to power after the polls. The rallies came up immediately after Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with Party’s state president Dr Manik Saha and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma held meetings with the Ministers, Party MLAs and leaders on Sunday.

As the banner in today’s rally suggest, the battle cry for the BJP seems to be ‘#Lakshya 2023 – Abar BJP’ (#Target 2023 – BJP again). Amidst flags and festoons, Yuva Morcha activists marched through the streets raising slogans.

In the rally, Yuva Morcha activists hailed the leadership of the Chief Minister and denounced the Congress and CPM regimes.

They also raised slogans alleging the ‘unholy’ and ‘secret’ understanding between the leftists and the Congress. Morcha supporters also came down heavily on the party deserters.

Yuva Morcha state president Nabadal Banik, General secretaries of State BJP Tinku Roy and Papia Datta, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder and other leaders led the rally.

“A large number of supporters participate in the rally which also grabbed the attention of common people.

They cheered us and we are buoyed as well as confident of forming Government in Tripura after the elections”, Morcha leaders said.

Meantime, reports from different sources indicate that by-polls for four Assembly constituencies will be held in April next.

Besides, it is learnt BJP state president Dr Manik Saha is likely to contest from Bardowali constituency while the party’s two general secretaries Tinku Roy and Papia Datta are the front runners for the 6-Agartala constituency.

Besides, by-polls will also be held at Surma and Yubarajnagar constituencies. The list of candidates will be finalized soon.

Supporters of Yuva Morcha also held rallies across the State and raised the tempo in favour of the party at the very initial phase.
