Tripura State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) under the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd (TSECL) bagged the Load Dispatch Centre (LDC) Excellence Award- 2022 in the Emerging category among the 14 States recently.
In the 22nd National Power System Conference, held at IIT New Delhi on December 17 last, Tripura SLDC was given the LDC Excellence Award- 2022. GCILD and FOLD Chairman KPS Bhava handed over the award to TSECL (Transmission) General Manager Ranjan Debbarma.
A programme was organized at the SLDC 79 Tila in Agartala to celebrate the achievement on Tuesday (December 20). Deputy Chief Minister who also holds the Power department portfolio, Jishnu Dev Varma, secretary of the Power department Brijest Pandey, MD of TSECL Debashish Sarkar and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister cum Power Minister Jishnu Dev Varma praised the efforts of the employees of the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd (TSECL).
The Minister said, Tripura was at the 47th position in terms of electricity services and stability – now the State climbed up to 22nd position. However, we have to carry forward the good works to move up in the ladder, he commented.
There are 55 sub-stations across the State and 132 KV Gandachhera-Ambassa line will become operational on December 23 next, Dev Varma said and urged the Power department staff and employees to ensure smooth and stable power supply during adverse climatic condition.
Thanking the officials and employees of the SLDC for winning the award, Brijesh Pandey said, The LDC Excellence award was given to the Tripura SLDC for Grid Operation, Power market Operation, Cross border transaction, Real Time Power management.
During today’s programme, Direct Finance of TSECL SS Dogra and Ranjan Debbarma handed over the Award and citation to Jishnu Dev Varma and Brigesh Pandey.
