The 2024 Lok Sabha Poll is a battle between ‘fascist’ forces and Indians. People, who believe in democracy and committed to preserve the constitution, have declared a war against the ‘fascist’ forces said Congress MLA and INDIA Bloc Tripura unit leader Sudip Roy Barman while addressing an election rally in support of Ashish Saha and Rajendra Reang in Belonia on Thursday.
He said, “Their agendas – One Nation, One Poll; One Nation, One religion …; One Party & One leader – reflect the fascist-like thoughts and visions. To overcome such a situation, INDIA Bloc was formed. We have decided to keep away our ideological differences, for the time being, to save the democracy and Indian constitution”.

Roy Barman further said the end of the BJP regime is just a matter of time. ‘Ab ki baar, 400 paar’ is a ploy of the saffron party to keep the confidence level of its party activists up and create an impression among the voters. He claimed that saffron leaders were apprehensive as the ‘Halat bahut Bura hye’.
Taking a swipe at the Poll promises made by the BJP in 2014, he made a comparison relating to price hike during the pre-2014 and post 2014. Quoting prices, he said, prices of cooking gas cylinder, petrol and diesel skyrocketed in the last 10 years of the BJP era.
“Not just fuel prices, prices of essential commodities even the life saving drugs witnessed sharp hikes. Moreover, the unemployment rate has made a record during the last 10 years since independence”, he claimed.
He continued criticizing the BJP-led government on Economic issues and alleged people of the country are in debt trap. Roybarman said, “In pre-2014 period, total amount of debt stood at Rs 55 lakh crore which jumped to Rs 205 lakh crore during the past 10 years”.
Roy Barman also fired salvos on PM’s silence over the protests of Wrestlers in Delhi over sexual harassment allegation and women’s plight in Manipur.
