Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ initiative, aimed at fostering a sense of patriotism among the citizens of the nation, is unprecedented, said Tripura’s Chief Minister, Dr. Manik Saha, during a review meeting at the Secretariat on Monday as the State is gearing up to make the initiative a grand success.

Dr. Saha emphasized the necessity of effectively implementing the initiative within their state.

Calling upon the District Magistrates to oversee the initiative at the district level, the Chief Minister underscored the significance of local administration involvement in this initiative.

The ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign is scheduled to take place from August 9 to 30. As a symbolic gesture, soil samples from 58 blocks across the state, along with soil from the Agartala Municipal Corporation, will be dispatched to New Delhi as part of the initiative.

Further delving into the details of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ initiative, Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of the Information & Cultural Affairs department, elaborated on the campaign.
