A series of violent incidents have been reported in the Batarasi area of North Tripura since Tuesday morning, resulting in six individuals being hospitalized. The situation was brought under control by the local police force, led by North District Superintendent of Police Bhanu Pada Chakraborty.

The conflict reportedly began at a local tea shop which is frequented by both locals and migrant workers residing in the area. These migrant workers, who earn their livelihood by selling various items to women along the roadside, live in a rented house owned by Abdul Malik in Batarasi.

Tensions escalated between the locals and the migrant workers, who hail from Uttar Pradesh and live in the area on rent, following an argument at the tea shop. The disagreement spiraled into a fierce fight, resulting in injuries to several individuals.

Among the injured persons are Mohammad Shahrukh Khan (23), son of Mohammad Israel and Mohammad Osman (20), son of Mohammad Islam, both from Nirpura in Uttar Pradesh and Abdullah (23), son of Harris Azgar, from Shyamali in Uttar Pradesh. Besides, Asif Mia (20), Asif Mia (21), and Asif Mia (23) were also seriously injured in the incident. All six are currently receiving treatment at Dharmanagar North District Hospital.

Upon receiving news of the incident, a large police force, led by Officer-in-Charge Narugopal Deb from Dharmanagar Police Station, arrived at the scene. Superintendent Bhanupad Chakraborty also visited the area with other police officials and managed to bring the situation under control.

To prevent any further incidents, a police force has been deployed in the area. Superintendent Chakraborty is personally monitoring the situation. Even as the situation is under control, the unexpected outbreak of violence in the morning created tension and resentment among the local residents.
