Well known spiritual leader and a Janajati social worker of Tripura Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma has been conferred with the 8th Swami Vivekananda Smriti Karma Yogi Award – 2021 on Sunday.

 

He was awarded in a programme at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. Swami Jitendranand Saraswati in presence of Union MoS for Finance Dr BK Karad handed over the award to Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma.  

 

The programme was organized by My Home India – a National NGO which aims at bringing emotional integration between people from different parts of the country.

 

“He is a yogi with karma as his supremacy. My Home India is proud to award Swami Vivekanand Smriti Karmayogi Award 2021 to a Karmayogi who is transforming life of marginalized in one of the remotest region of our nation. Come let’s together salute this Karmayogi”, My Home India authority mentioned.

Union Min of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju wrote, “Congratulations to Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma ji on being conferred with @MyHomeIndia’s 8th #KarmayogiAward2021 in New Delhi. He is a true Karmayogi who dedicated his life for the education of poor Tribal children of Tripura & inculcating traditional, cultural values in them”.

 

Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma is a Sanyasi who hails from Tripura. After his formal education, he joined service as Panchayat Secretary. In one of his official tours he met Swami Shanti Kali Ji Maharaj. He was highly influenced with Swami Shanti Kali Ji and became one of his disciples.

 

Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma’s attraction towards social services made him more close to his guru.

 

Later when the Swami Shanti Kali Ji Maharaj was brutally murdered by the Under Ground militant Group, Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma succeeded him and took forward the initiations of his guru.

 

He also expanded the activities of Ashram for the issues of education of deprived people, tribal welfare, organic farming, tailoring and other such activities.

 

Swami Chittaranjan Debbarma has left his family to dedicate his entire life for society.
