Presidential election nominee of Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA Droupadi Murmu will visit Tripura on July 5 next.
The decision was taken after an Organizational meeting in presence of the Chief Ministers of North East Region (NER) and party’s top brass of the NER.
Revealing the information, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, also the president of Tripura Pradesh BJP wrote on the social media, “On July 5, Bharatiya Janata Party nominated presidential candidate Mrs. Draupadi Murmu Ji will visit Tripura. Today (Read July 3), the planning to this end was fixed after an important organizational meeting was held with the Chief Ministers of the North Eastern States and Organizational Maha Mantri of the NER in presence of All India General Secretary Binod Taure ji, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and National Spokesperson Shri Sambit Patra, an important organizational meeting was held”.
Notably, the Chief Minister of Tripura along with ex-Chief Minister of the State Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, MoS Pratima Bhowmik and MP Rebati Tripura are, at present, in Hyderabad and attending the last day of the two-day National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Sunday.
Meantime, On the second day of the BJP National Executive Committee meeting in Hyderabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lauded NDA’s Presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu and said that her candidature stands over and above any politics.
“Prime Minister Modi said that despite her struggle throughout life, yet Murmu did not fail to achieve what she stood for. He also said that Murmu throughout her life worked for the upliftment of every section of society,” sources said.
Sources further said that Prime Minister Modi asked party cadre to highlight the struggle and simplicity of Murmu’s life among people.
BJP’s National Executive Committee meeting which started on Saturday will conclude with Prime Minister Modi’s address on Sunday. One economic and ‘garib kalyan’ resolution was passed on Saturday and political resolution has been presented by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
